The Chair of Geotechnical Engineering is concerned with teaching and research in soil and rock mechanics, earthworks, foundation engineering and special foundation construction as well as engineering geology. The Chair cooperates in the Research Institute Water and Environment with the Chairs of Hydromechanics and Hydraulic Engineering as well as Water Resources Risk Assessment and Climate Impact Research.
