Laboratory
The Chair of Structural Concrete can use the technical equipment of the Laboratory of the Institute of Structural Engineering for experimental investigations.
Fresh concrete is mixed with a 70 liter or a 180 liter constant velocity compulsory mixer, which are both also suitable for mixing ultra-high performance concrete. For the processing of fresh concrete and for curing and preparation of test specimens, the common small devices as well as a vibrating table, internal vibrators, a bridge saw and a grinding and sawing device are available.
The equipment for the testing of materials and structural members includes i.a. the following devices:
Testing machines for the testing of building materials- servohydraulic testing machine for compression tests (static) with a capacity of 4000 kN
- servohydraulic testing machine for compression tests (static) with a capacity of 300 kN
- servohydraulic testing machine for bending tests (static) with a capacity of 100 kN
- elektromechanical testing machine for tension and compression tests (static) with a capacity of 400 kN
- servohydraulic testing machine for bending tests (static) with a capacity of 400 kN
The servohydraulic testing machine for bending tests with a capacity of 400 kN is suitable for tests on structural members with a maximum length of 7.00 m.
Besides, several manually controlled hydraulic jacks (hollow piston cylinders) with capacities between 200 kN and 600 kN are available. These can be used for multi-axial tests in combination with the existing testing machines or can be combined into individual small test setups. A mobile application outside the laboratory, e.g. for in situ loading tests, is possible as well.
Measurement equipment- optical deformation measurement system GOM-ARAMIS Adjustable 6M
- Peekel Autolog 3000 measurement data acquisition system
- various displacement transducers
